Martha Stewart Pet Shop

After I dedicated the entire month of September to puppy training in our new apartment, the pups finally received their first compliment on the elevator last night! :) To bring in October and hopefully more compliments (just kidding), the pups are happily wearing their Martha Stewart Halloween sweater collection! :)

Bewitched

Happy First Week of Fall! :)

I think my favorite thing about Fall has to be Halloween, and lately I have been obsessed with witches...okay not lately it's been awhile! :) Not the ugly green witches, but beautiful feminine witches in touch with nature and the energy around them. This obsession has definitely started to influence my style, my photography, and even my editing. I love the idea of creating "magical photographs". This week I had the chance for a quick Fall session with Derek right as the sun was setting! I just loved the Fall colors and the way he was able to capture so much life and mystery in each photograph he took. For the shoot I wore these beautiful Nine West ankle boots, black skinnys from H&M, and this emerald green synched top by Michael Kors. Witches always seem to be wearing hats, so I grabbed my gorgeous suede floppy hat that was perfect for the Fall weather.

In the next few weeks I will be collaborating with my good friend with Studio Dark, and we have officially decided on the theme of Witches for our Halloween studio shoot! I recently read, "To be a witch is to be a healer, teacher, seeker, giver, and protector of all things." I have so much more to prepare before our halloween shoot, but I'm so excited to work with my friends to bring this vision of what a witch really is to life!

September Update!!

So I haven't posted in so long because I have honestly given up on fashion for a little while... I've been really busy with our move and trying to find work. We are really loving our new place so much!! The pups have been crazy, but they are finally settling in too!! :) I haven't been taking tons of pictures, but here are a few updates from our first few weeks back in Cary!

We are still getting wedding gifts in the mail!

Derek and I agreed to decorate our space a little differently here in Cary

It's a work in progress and I can't wait until its done! :P

I'm enjoying emerald green nails this week, and I have fallen back in love with

this marc jacobs bracelet! The Alterna Caviar Blonde Shampoo is also fab and brightening :)

The pups are sliding all over our wood flooring and its scratching it...help :P

Love little Bernie though...the dogs need to be groomed so bad :)

Working late has become our routine,

but we are loving the quiet room at our apartment!!

My new Moon and Lola mug was such a sweet gift from one of my best friends!

Derek and I have matching ones! Too cute :)

Mellow mushroom is now 2 minutes from our place, so we

had to get some pizza this weekend! :) We tried the Thai Dye...

We are also really close to South Point, so I loved going there with my bff :)

Can't wait for fall shopping...

Bruce is allergic to his dog food, so we are switching it for him! :(

He can't have chicken and rice, so we're going to try Blue-salmon and sweet potatoes.

Just shot a wedding over the weekend and it was so much fun!

Moving Giveaway!!

I recently found out that I will be moving back to Raleigh this month for my husbands job! We were just about to renew our lease here in Charlotte when we got the news :). I only have about two full weeks to pack, and we will be getting a smaller apartment when we move. I definitely will have to part with some things so we can downsize. This will be the third move we make in two years lol, and I will be blogging throughout the process. Take a look at some of the things I decided to donate this evening!
